Ascendium Releases 2022 Education Philanthropy Report: Meeting the Moment

Ascendium Education Group has released its 2022 Education Philanthropy report, Meeting the Moment. The report tells the story of Ascendium's philanthropy during 2022 as we provided $122 million in new grants to meet the challenges created and compounded by our changing world.

Ascendium's grantmaking strategy focuses on helping more learners from low-income backgrounds achieve their postsecondary education and workforce training goals. We fund initiatives at every stage of development, from promising but untested practices to proven approaches ready to be brought to scale. While we are proactive in our grantmaking, we remain flexible and responsive to the evolving needs of our partners and the people they serve.

"We are in a moment as a nation where significant investments and policy changes at the federal level are creating both opportunity and urgency for our grant partners," writes Ascendium's President & CEO Richard D. George in the message that opens the report. "I continue to be impressed by our grant partners and the critical work they perform in a rapidly changing world to ensure all learners can find a path to upward mobility."
